I just installed Revit 2009 and have transferred my old custom keyboard shortcuts to the new shortcut file. They all seem to work so far except for one I had in Revit 2008, where I was able to access "View - Dynamically Modify VIew" with the shortcut "ZZ" (btw no reference to the french slang here!). When I try to use this shortcut in R2009 to access the command "View-Zoom-Pan Active View", it doesn't work... does this command even exist? Or have they eliminated any such command line with the introduction of the navigation wheels? By the way, I can't use my middle mouse button or scroll wheel button for panning. I am running a MacBook Pro with Parallels and Windows XP (Home), and the logitech software greys out the options for scroll button with Parallels... So right now my only recourse to pan is to use the navigation wheel which so far I DO NOT like much. Thanks for any help, Satto

Does it happens only with your recent installation of Revit 2009 or with RAC2008 also? Download latest parallels version and reload again, it might help

I just upgraded to Parallels 3.0 and Revit 2009 at the same time. So no luck there. I had the "ZZ" shortcut working fine in RAC2008, but the command line was different - for Dynamically Modify View instead of Pan ACtive View.

ZZ is a default command for zoom window. Ensure you don't have a duplicate setup.

Thanks Chris, I eliminated "zz" for the zoom window command in the shortcut text file before creating one for the pan command. Is there some other ghost or system command file that would override these shortcuts? I've tried other letter combinations but nothing seems to work for that command. Also, I've added "VA" for Activate View and "PA" for Paste Current View, and they are not working either. I'm stumped.

When you type the command look at the bottom status bar, it lists the commands associated to that key combination. If there are duplicates you can use your arrow keys to switch between them and then hit enter to commit to one. If it isn't showing in your status bar there is something wrong with the shortcuts file... HTH.

The new default for this command seems to be F8 from what I can see in my file. Try removing that and inputting your default and see if it works.
