I work at a small (7 project managers) commercial construction firm. I do all the in-house generated drafting. I started using Revit a few months ago and I am using 2009. I can do about 95% of what I need to generate in Revit.

I am having a problem with a hatch (for lack of a better word) that I downloaded from here. I am trying to get a cultured stone look and downloaded a .pat file. How do I get that pattern into the drawing? Did I get the correct file format to insert into the Revit file?

Thanks in advance.

We could give you an easy answer but I will give you a better one that will help you a lot more.  There have many many subjects covered here in the past and all are in the forum archives.   If you learn to look there and in your REVIT help, you will find a lot of your beginner questions answered.  Try searching in the forum for "hatch" or "patteren" and you will find your answer.  Using "pattern" in your help search will also give you your answers.

Found it. Thanks. I did notice one difference in the instructions I found and it may be because I am using 2009 and those instructions may come from an earlier version. I had to go to: Settings-Fill Patterns-toggle "model" button-New-toggle "custom" button (this causes the "import" button to come up)-import

Toggling the "custom" button was an additional step I did not see mentioned in the posts I looked through.
