Ok, so once I have a floor lets just say 12" thick; in order to put some lights in I need to create ceiling plane; I got that... BUT once I do all that and put cans in and the ceiling is flush w/ floors bottom the lights dont work in accu; I guess 'cause my floor is filling up the can so no light comes out.... Any easy solutions???

Hi LUCAS, first of all, i think you must say what version of Revit do you use, in second place to put some lights in your "FLOOR" you don't need to create a ceiling plane, there are some light don't be attach necessarily to ceiling, so you can choose one of them or you can create "your Lights", you must care to see when you put your light in floor if there aren't in bottom of the floor but in top of them... if you put some images of model we can figure out better what's wrong...

When you edit the family, you can move the light emitting point down a little bit, to clear the slab.

Would you please elaborate on this? I am new to lighting in general and I'm a little lost. Which parameter would it be say on the Recessed can light in the library. I see the parameters but none seem to do as you say and raise or lower the height of the actual light source.

Thx in advance.

Michael
