i have a ge force fx5200. its the low profile version.  doesn't even need a fan nor does it have one.  according to wikipedia it is worse then an mx440 and a radeon 9000.  beat that.

Lol I'm running a 5200ultra in my media server, but the machine I use Revit on is still pretty outdated with a Radeon 9800pro.

Can someone please clarify how revit actually utilizes the graphics card?  My 9800pro isn't so outdated that it doesn't support openGL, yet my modelling and renderings all seem to be insanely CPU intensive, leading me to beleive that the work isn't being offloaded to the GPU, but instead to the CPU.  Is there a flaw in my logic, my graphics card, or Revit?

the video card is only used for screen refreshes so panning and rotating calculating shadows, shading etc.  actual rendering is done purely processor.
