Revit Arch2009

We have an existing project with an .rvt file type.  Recently we developed our own project template (.rte).  Is there anyway to put the two together so that our .rvt existing project has the same title blocks, views, and families as the .rte project template?  Or are there any suggestions?

There really isn't a way to just move everything from one to the other. However, you will be able to move most of you annotations, sheets, Line weights, object styles, materials, filled regions, phasesprint settings, paper sizes, revision settings, text & dimension styles, wall types, floor types, ceiling types and what not using TRNSFER PROJECT STANDARDS under the file menu.

When you do this a dialog will pop up and ask if you want to overwrite, new only or cancel. I usual do the overwrite to make sure that it copies what I need.

For anything not on this list like familes I usually load those in one at a time so I can check them and a lot of the stuff you can copy paste.

JUST BE AWARE OF ANYTHING THAT IS GETTING COPIED!!! Revit will warn you if it has renamed anything, families, groups, things like that. If this happens you will want to make sure that you remove the duplicates as this can balloon your file size rather quickly.
