I'm creating an area plan and I see the color fill in the appropriate areas. However, I really need to see the color fill go to the next color fill. In other words; I don't want to see the wall as white and 2 separate colors on either side of it. Instead, I want the color fill to stop at the area boundary line and ignore the wall being there (as far as the color fill is concerned). Any suggestions?

-Go to Settings > Color Fills Schemes -Find and select the scheme you are working with in the list on the left -In the bottom portion of the dialogue, select "Foreground" in the "Display Color Fill in" option. -Hit ok Enjoy!

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line! |

I forgot to mention I was in Revit 2009. Maybe what you're mentioning is in an earlier version, but I don't se it in 2009. Any ideas where they hid that option?

REVIT 2012. I have a room area color scheme that displays properly when set to Foreground. But when set to Background it mostly disappears. It seems as if the floor slab, which is actually a Foundation Slab, is covering most of the color scheme. The rooms are located on 01 Level. So are the slabs. Any suggestions as to why Revit is not displaying the color scheme in the plan?

For those who don't see the color scheme, even though it's activated: do you have a pattern set on your floor surface? In case it is set to a solid white, it "covers" the color scheme.
