Hi all, i an creating a window schedule,

so i drop a window family in the legend and set it to front, another one to floorplan, but what I miss is the section or left or right view?

is that possible to generate this within the legend?

Grtz

it won't be a parametric solution, but pick all the lines from your window/door in side/section view, then cut those lines (detail lines) and paste into your legend view...

aijajai,

thats not a parametric BIM philsophy is it!

if a wall can be cut in section ,than a window, door should too,

now i have a workaround, like making a detail section cutting through the window vertically, but it messes up my drawing s with all those section-mark lines, and i need to place those in combination with the legends etc. Extra work, jaggh.

I need th window in front, the plan section [including its host, the wall], and the vertical ssection, including its host.

A whishlist item i guess.

Upgrade the legend-window family tool to show its hosts, and its vertical section! than we really could maken window schedules and details drawings horizontally and vertically.

This is a huge missed opportunity,

can't I edit the family so that i can create this vertical section in the legend?
