Does anyone know how can I center a cut pattern on a wall? Such as a dashed line, centered on the stud space. Patterns that run across the wall (like a cross-hatch) seem simple enough. Running lengthwise not so simple.

Any help will be appreciated.

Your question is unclear.

Not sure if I am getting the question right, but if you assign a cut pattern to whatever the structure portion of your wall is and tell it to align to wall, then this should work.  For example, we have a dashed demising wall so what I did was to edit the wall structure and took the "metal stud" material and duplicated it.  I then took that new duplicated material and gave it a dashed line cut pattern.  I then changed the material in structural part of the new wall to new duplicated material.  When you draw the wall, the cut pattern is always shown on the structural portion of the wall which is centered.  I found the dashed pattern by searching the forums for a 1-hour wall.

I'm not if this is possible for one reason, cut patterns can only be drafting patterns.  Unlike model patterns (which you can align and move) drafting patterns stay the same and can not be control.

As far as that dashed pattern goes, does it work for both North/south walls and East/west ones?

Yes it does.   You tell it to align to wall.
