I need to create a roofing plan, but all i can see is this "mass". i have adjusted to cutplane, height, and depth properties to no avail. How do i see the beams that make up the roof?

Adjust view detail to fine. Check visibility for structural framing, column, beam systems.

Do you have a sheating on your roof? make sure that that is either off or transparent. Are you beams drawn as framing? you might also just turn the roof off, unless you want the vallys and ridges to show up on your plan. Make sure that Framing is turned on in your visibility graphics and that they are not hidden in view.
