If I plan to migrate from AutoCAD to Revit, what setting should I do? Layers of course. ctb for pen assignment, I have to re-create it since the different format, right? Lineweight and hatch pattern, tittleblocks, font style, etc. The main problem I'm facing now is about the drafting tools. In case I just wanna use Revit for drafting only, so many difficulties found. Like hatching. I have to use filled region. It's difficult to make the complex boundary.
Since my client mostly still use dwg format, I have to export it back to dwg. Is there any simple/easy way to do that?Because the 3D model changed to polyface, not solid again after being exported to dwg. Any mistake I've made?
Finally I want a statement, is it possible to fully migrate from AutoCAD to Revit? Please, I need a guidance. Thanks.

Lets begin by saying you are not the only one who has migrated from autoCAD to Revit. In fact this is the general scenario. Just need to check though when you say migrate to revit do you mean;
1. You have an existing project half documented in autoCAD and you want to convert it to Revit?
2. You have a new project that you want to do in Revit when all you standards are setup for AutoCAD?
There are no converting of layer settings for importing DWG's into Revit. I'd suggest not to use Revit as just a drafting tool (although it has very good drafting tools and i prefer to 2D draft in revit as to autocad), you are much better off and it will be quicker to use revit for what it was intended for and that's modelling.
When exploding autocad imports the hatch patterns will convert to fill regions, however you may notice the fill patterns don't come in the same in all cases and you will need to change the pattern.
For exporting you can setup a layers file (refer revit documentation) that will apply the appropriate layers and lineweights etc.
I think you would be best to discuss implementation with your Revit resellers as its not really something that can be advised over an internet forum as every office is very different.

Hello
I was working for a company that use to export Revit to DWG, when exporting to dwg Revit also creates a ploting file pcp or ctg (from memory) do not give the plot file to cleint so they can use it, the consoltants woked around it.
I am pretty sure that Revit can export Revit files to dwg to custom layers but you need to set up.
I have been always told to detail in Auto cad & model in Revit, you can import the detail.dwg as a drafting view, then place on sheet.
