Hi, Can anyone guide me on process of working with elements from revit link? For example if i want to switch off few elements from a particular category say structural framing then how it would be possible? If its a live element then we can simply do hide in view but it doesn't work with link. Thnx in advance

Look in your VG for the view. There is a REVIT link tab. It is set to the default of using the host's display's settings. Click on that and change to custom. In the following screen, again change the setting to custom and you can now set the linked file's VG for anything.

My answer is the obvious. Turn them all all then hide in view the ones you don't want. REVIT doesn't perform miracles either.

If i select and do hide in view then all the elements from the link model turned off. Whereas i want to hide only few of them. I think we can only turn off the category not the individuals in the link file.

As of 2008, you can individually hide each selected element in view. You do not need to hide category.

I may be wrong but i think we cannot select the individual element coming from the link model.
