Does anyone know how to fix this?

depends on what you want the roof to look like. You can lower the ridge of the roof with the piece missing to match the adjacent ridge. Or you can build another smaller roof to fill in the hole with slopes on 3 sides to match the two roofs.

Depends on what you want actually. You may place a flat roof to cover the flat portion and a vertical board to cover up the rest.
