Is there a way to show both electrical and lighting on one plan view? Underlay them? Curently i can not underlay my ceiling plan with my electrical plan. I'am trying to create a remodeling plan and want all the electrical items together. another question... Is there to put the diameter symbol in text? And other speical symbols?

To get special ASCII characters in REVIT just hold down the ALT key while typing the numeric code for the key from your keypad. ie: degree º (ALT 167) diameter Ø (ALT 0216).

We've had luck by starting with a Reflected Ceiling Plan and setting the Cut Plane in the View Range at 0'-0" (the floor level), and the View Depth at just above the ceiling plane. This allows any outlets and switches, including outlets in the floor, to show. You may need to also change some items in the plan to be hidden or transparent so you can see the items on the ceiling.
