Hey everyone, I was just curious if there were any free additional downloads available for Revit 2009 that would give you more materials for rendering? Because I can't find any wood that I like for the exterior of a house I'm working on. If anyone knows anything, please let me know. Thank you.

There are hundreds of places to download textures for wood etc on the web, just google texture maps or similar.

Its quite easy to manipulate one of the existing wood materials to use a different jpg map and bump map to create a new material.

Give it a go and post any further specific question your require an answer to.

Spot on Mr Spot... you can grab textures from anywhere and even make your own with a digi camera...but on the lines of the wishlist thread... I want the ability to create Panoramics back!!!! can't believe this has been taken away from us and also the ability to place background images... yeas I know I could create a large wall etc behind the model and then apply an image, but why has something so basic been taken out? Now I have to use Max as well - unless i am missing something.......

I agree with "Justin T", this new version it's "worse" with the materials and backgrounds in Render, i think "they" must put again a "User Library" for we can create our own materials and can use them in all projects without that let us have that to come back to create "AGAIN" the same materials (scale, rotation, brightness...).
