Looks like you already have it placed.... or are you really asking something else?

The snapshot is taken from the pdf file. I have to put into my structural model. There is one option of putting beam on grid but its not taking circular grid

Could you not go to Modeling-Create-Structural Framing-Solid Form-Solid Sweep? I dont know about you..but some times this is faster for me.

Let me know if you have any questions..

I want to place my parametric beam to the circular roof light. Solid modeling is last option for me.

Can you please give any more suggestions?

ok..its pretty simple. when you select the beam button under modelling...just select the arrow button on top. the "pick lines" button. Then it will follow whatever shape you select.

Let me know if that works for you.

Sorry..cant help you with building. But here is another way to work around it. If you have revit structure. You can do the beam there...import the structural model into your model, then do a copy monitor on it and then just remove the link. just a thought.

do an in-place family and categorize it as structural framing.  Unless you have revit structure.
