We're relatively new revit structure 2008 users.  We purchased 2009 and will have it installed soon.

What is the best approach to place masonry lintels in a model.  Are families required?  Are they components?  Can they contain analytical parameters?  Our intention is to mark them and schedule them with tabulated data, like footings.  Your ideas can be in general detail, since we've learned quite a bit about the software.

Hi there, I do not feel the Will with Revit Structure but you can create your model or family Lintel like do you want to insert in your models, you can give them materials and they appears in shedules and they can be tagged in view...

I think you must search in others AUGI forum about Revit Structure...

If you make a family for the lintels in that you can add the info that you need to pull off on the schedules (mark, type etc).  You will need to look at the help for making familesa and using shared parameters.

I went into my edit wall assembly and added a sweep to the top of the wall.  I created the sweep from a profile earlier.  It seems to work well for my uses.
