Assuming I understand what you are trying to do, I would do it this way:

Create a new level that cuts through the curtainwall.  And then make a new plan view of that level.  Uverlay that plan onto the floor plan, then use your linework tool to select the lines representing the two sides of the curtain wall and then turn off the overlay.  The lines will remain and the underlay will be gone.  Note that this is still the wall, so if you move the lines, you are moving the wall.  Also, if you hover over the lines with your mouse, the wall will highlight as if the whole thing were drawn on that view.
