I started my project at Level 1 0". I just received my site survey and would like to move my project so my Level 1 will match the existing building EL 388.61. Thanks in advance.............Vic

you have two choise: 1- if you don't move in X and Y axis, only Z axis, do to one of your elevation views (no mather what), dimension all of your ref levels and lock them, then zoom the tick off Level 1 (the first level in bottom) and pick in elevation (0.00), change the value to 388.61 and Enter, zoom extend and your all model up to the right elevation in Z axis, now you can delete your dimensions in the elevation view and pick in "unconstrain".

2- if you need to move in the 3 axis, go to "TOOLS", "PROJECT POSITION/ORIENTATION" AND "RELOCATE THIS PROJECT", pick in the ref line of Level 1, move the mouse up and write 388.61, zoom extend, pick in ref level 1 go to the properties, pick in "edit/new" and in "Elevation Base" in the right change "Project" to "Shared" pick OK then ok again and your model goes to the right elevation...

 Reply please...

good luck

I used the first option. It worked great and my contours worked out. Option 2 worked, but the contours where in 16ths.

excellent answer from typhoon as usual

can i just add a bit extra.  we do this a lot, after getting our survey, because we work with existing buildings.  when you move your levels up, don't forget to also move your crop regions too, on elevations and sections.  otherwise you find things disappear!  if you use things like grids, also move them, as their 3d extents stay in the original position.
