I am looking for a hatch pattern that is a 4’x8’ running bond to show which way the plywood in a floor is oriented.  I see a standard hatch that has 4’x8’ but it is a stack bond pattern.

This should be easy to do by copying a running bond block pattern.pat file and changing the 8" increments to 24 and 48 as appropriate.  Play with it and you'll catch on quickly.  Might leave one of the 8's as 8, change one to 24 ...etc and see what moves.  Just use notepad.

Thanks for the reply.I have never edited a hatch pattern.  How do you get to the files?

This is a good place to start. Here is a simple running bond block pattern:

*AR-B816, 8x16 Block elevation stretcher bond

0,   0,0,   0,8

90,   0,0,   8,8,   8,-8

Just cut this and paste it in a notepad file and say as "your name".pat . The file is simply describes pen directionand distance. I don't remember the sequence anymore - that's why I suggest you play with it a little andcheck the results.
