I am new to Revit Structure and I have the latest version. What are Revit's structural design capabilities (if any)? I am assuming that people are using Revit to develop the model and are exporting to a third party software (RISA, RAM) for their design, is this true? If so, which third party software is working the best? What are Revit's plans for the future in this area?

Hi, Revit Structure features bi-directional integration with French structural analysis package Robot Millenium. Last I heard Autodesk bought them as well. It's worth looking into it. Last time I checked it was possible to download Robot demo version from the developers site. Demo had no usage constraints except - it allowed analysis of 60 nodes max. It is worth exporting structural models into IFC and importing them into appplications you use (if IFC is supported). Regards, Gils
