I'm in a revit group out here in Las Vegas, yes ppl. actually 'live' out here, and I was told that there is a beta software version floating around out there that will actually build a wood stud wall.  I've heard you can add a sill plating, blocking the whole nine. 

Is anyone familiar w/ such a package?  If not what are some of the ways you're dealing with it in your neck of the woods?

I found this paper on the subject that may answer a few questions as to why Revit seems to lack a little in the wood construction dept.  Hopefully things will change w/ the advent of 3rd party software.  Here's a link to the PDF:

 Have you taken a look at MWF application offered by Strucsoftsolutions?  MWf is metal and wood framing extension to Revit. It works with both Revit Structure as well as Architecture. You can get more info at
