Hello there, Awhile back, I downloaded a file on this website that had a bunch of preloaded hatch patterns in it. We transfered those patterns to our file and now I'm trying to use some of the patterns but the scale just isn't cutting it. The problem is, they were imported custom fill patterns and I have no idea where the original .pat file is located. So it won't let me scale the pattern. Any ideas?

Sorry, I don't believe you can. I have multiple hatches at different scales and named accordingly.

Do you happen to have a honeycomb hatch? We use it in AutoCAD for Spray foam insulation and the one in Revit is entirely too large. If you have that hatch would you mind attaching an empty file with that loaded into it? I would really appreciate it.

Just isolate that hatch pattern in your autocad.pat file and load it in. (Delete preceeding and following definitions and save with an appropriate name.pat) You can do that with any autocad hatch. By adding one line to any autocad 2d hatch, you can make it be a REVIT 3d hatch.

Great thanks. I found this file in the downloads section on this site. Works great. We can have all our hatches in one file to import now. Easy to scale too.

Cause when I try to bring in the pat as is, it says there is no model patterns in the file. How do I remedy this?

Edit the pat file using wordpad or notepad or word but save as a simple txt (pat ) extension file. Add a new line right below the title line: ;%TYPE=MODEL
