In Revit 2008, is it possible to "mend" two colinear walls of the same wall type? Essentially if you delete the middle of an exterior wall to get rid of some bays, can you "mend" the ends of the walls on both sides of the deleted area to join it back together into one wall (so I don't have to re-input all the windows in the wall).

Thanks.

Hi,

If you are talking  about to same wall type that lie along the same line, you can select the 2 walls and you'll see a dot (unfilled) at the common endpoint. Select the dot and drag it to either side along the same same wall. Notice that you now have a single wall.

This is provided they have the same base constrain/top constraint and height.

That worked nicely for most of the walls.

For some reason others wouldn't do it. But it was simple enough to delete and redraw.

Thanks!
