I can't seem to figure out why my pilaster wall joins are not graphically correct.  If I draw a structural wall and drop in a pilaster at the same elevation it shows the (2) elemants overlapping until I use join at which point the lines from the wall intersecting the pilaster are trimmed.  But then I drop the pilaster elevation some inches below the top of wall elevation and then foundation wall lines re-appear going thru the pilaster.  How can I get these to look correct as explained in previous example.
