So I exported my Revit 2009 file to fbx and imported it into 3D Studio Max Design. The lighting definitly needs to be fixed in order to get the renderings to work. I am hesitant to delete the lights and start over (I know how to set up lights for mental ray)... So I am wondering if there are some settings that I can fix in oder to make the file work without redoing all the lighting. The sun, in particular does seem to be a problem. And I don't think my windows are transmitting light the way they should be. But again, I think it's a problem with the sun.

Does any one have instructions for what to do to the lighting after importing to Max? Any info would be much appreciate.

Hi Stephanie,

 Well I don;t know that whether i would be helpful to you or not, but what i do is that i just do the modelling work in Revit & than the lighting, texturing & rendering stuffs are carried out in 3dsmax cause i never go with Revit lightings.
