Hi: I have a floor plan, with some beams in the ceiling. For some reason I want this beams to show up in the floor plan as dashed lines, but I can't even see the beams above unless I move the cut plane slicing the beam.

Is there any tool to display the geometry above the cut plane, (and slightly below the top clip plane)

thanks in advance

Go to View Properties and set Underlay to the current level. Set Underlay type as Reflected Ceiling Plan. You should then be able to see the ceiling view underlayed and grayscaled.

Thanks for the answer. So, what is the use of the top view plane in the view range? Or is there any other way to display the geometry between  the cut plane and the top plane?

thanks in advance

The top plane is used in Reflected ceiling plans to clip how far "UP" you see.

My suggestion would be to use the 'Linework' tool to "Recreate" the lines you want to see and then turn the Underlay off. The lines will stay in the view. I usually do this for things like Soffit and Bulkhead lines that I need to show as dashed lines in a plan view.
