I am having a problem creating a ceiling legend with Revit 2008. When trying to place a ceiling type on the a legend view, the ceiling type comes in as section view. Is there anyway to create or change the ceiling type in a legend to read as plan view instead of section view? I do not want to use model lines to creat my ceiling grid leagen or pattern to create a gyp ceiling. Please advise. Thanks ahead!!!! ST

For all these years, I have not heard anything with this issue. No one really had a idea of it. No one seem to care.

We have had the same issue as well. Unfortunately, the best we can do (or at least the best we can think of) for now is to use filled regions which have the same fill pattern as the ceiling's finish material. It isn't ideal, really, but it gets the job done. I would really like to see the development of a more robust set of tools for legend views & legend components- including the ability to reference details from legend views. The tools provided seem really close to being useful, but just aren't quite there yet.

Hello,
We're using RAC 2012 in the office, still no solution for this problem. The legend works for plans, but no reflected ceiling plans.

In the latest release, this might be a good place to use an assembly rather than a legend component.
