Has anyone tried to model soil strata in Revit? I'd like to generate, for example, a topo of the limestone stratum to understand say pier depths, etc. I've tried creating one toposurface over another, but this doesn't really work the way I'd like it to. Another scenario is that limestone is very near the surface, say 2' below existing grade. I tried creating two topos, then converting them to graded regions, then inserting a building pad. My hope is that I could get volumes of cut/fill for each topo layer penetrated by the building pad cut. Again, I haven't had any success. Is this possible? Has anyone found a work-around? Thanks...

I've not done this but what about multiple linked models with the topography of each being the top level of the strata and the material indication being different in each model.
