So i'm trying to apply a Yes/No parameter to a Void Form that i would like turned on or off in a component. This may be that i have not made my family the right Category (currently Generic Models), but i have created Yes/No Parameters (Landing 1 through Landing 5) which are associated to simular Length Parameters (Main Landing to Fifth Landing). Equation that is used for Yes/No (Parm: Second Landing Formula: =Landing 2 > 0 mm) which should turn the object off. Now it de-selects the box in the Family types but does not turn the void form off in the model itself. I have gone into the Void Form and set "Visible" to the Parameter desired. Any ideas, this is driving me NUTS.

I don't know if I was just doing the same thing as you and making the same mistake or if it a function of Revit that disallows visibility control of a void, but I had the same thing happen in a family that I was building. I worked around it by using an IF and Length parameter that moved the void out into space when I didn't want it to cut and pulled it back into position when I did. What I did was base that dimension on the overall width and lock it to the middle, so that no matter how wide I made my family, the void was pushed further.

Its a silly thing but it turns off the void shape but does not prevent it from cutting the object. The parameter is the visibility of the void not whether it cuts an object or not. But I like the work around that was suggested.
