Hi, everyone. Got a rendering issue that I'd love someone to clear up. I'm using accurender. Basically, when I use default "grass" of different lightnesses, it ends up dramatically affecting the overall color of my building. But not how I'd expect. Lighter "grass" makes the building appear substantially darker, and darker "grass" makes the building appear lighter. Please check the attached image to see what I am talking about. (***I realize that the light Bremuda "grass" does not look a lot lighter than the dark -- but if I was to use higher render settings, you'd see that I really am using two different, default "grass". Please take my word for it.) I like to think of myself as pretty savy, light bounce wise, but I can't figure out why this would happen. It also happens with my own maps for "grass"-- light "grass" means darker building and viceversa. But it doesn't happen for solid colors or less noisey maps. Is there something about "noisey" maps affecting the way light bounces? Any help would be appreciated. What is the RGB value of the "Brown" used in the color of your building? I have been trying to get a similar color out of the render feature. It is difficult to tweak in the color pallets and get desired results in the renderings.

Interesting discovery, i've never really compared. Are sure you are using the same lighting settings, ie: same intensity sun etc? I'd say you most likely are. I think you would most likely have to speak to an accurender expert to discover the reasoning behind this...
