Revit Arch. 2008

Has anyone figured out a good way to change the level from 0'-0" to 100'-0" on a project? The only way I know is to move the entire building up from within an elevation view.  Please let me know if there is another, easier way!

 Thanks!

try this: go to your elevation view, no mather what (north, south...), then constrain the levels, dimension all levels and lock them, then in the elevation of the Level 1 change them, with the levels locked all model goes to the right elevation.

Or click on one elevation, select all, and then move 100' in the up direction...  almost same difference

Not that these aren't good suggestions, but moving your project in this matter can cause some pretty rough issues when coordinating between other Revit platforms or even AutoCAD when bringing in a site. The proper way to move your project is to go into an elevation view and then under the TOOLS menu > PROJECT POSITION / ORIENTATION > RELOCATE THIS PROJECT. After you pick this command click on one of the levels for reference and move your mouse upward and type in 100.

This will allow the project to move on its shared coordinates rather than move the project.

After you move this, if you want your levels to read 100' and what not, you will need to tell your levels to look at the SHARED COORDINATES rather than project in the type properties.

I would look for coordinates in the help menu for a better understanding of shared versus project.

See video for example.

Can't change Instance's Family. Try changing Instance's Host to a Level first.
