Our structural group placed 12" masonry foundation wall below grade. We used a structural wall that went down to top of footing level. We placed a continuous spread footing that attached to the bottom of the masonry fnd wall. Architectural Building sections want the foundation wall and footing visible from the structural model, but they do not want any of the other structural walls visible. If they turn off structural walls the foundation walls turn off as well. What is the best approach to accomodate this? I'm beginning to think that the structural team should not create walls in their model, and they should leave that to the architectural team. I should say that this is our very first revit project.
