I'm trying to create an OWSJ family. I'm having some problems making the webbing parametric. I can create a round sweep at a 45 degree angle between the chords but I can't figure out how to lock the sweeps to the chords so they grow when the joist depth is increased. I downloaded the wood and rod truss family from this site but I can't figure out how the author did it.

You need to align the end points of the sweep path to the chords (best if assigned using reference planes). If you are still have trouble, post the family and i'll try to help you further.

Thanks, I got that part. I was tying to constrain the sweep to the reference lines. I didn't realize you could constrain the sweep path. BTW is there a website that has the "Rules of Constraints" or something like that. I noticed the sweep behaving kind of funny when I was playing with the constraints. I couldn't figure out why it was behaving a certain way.

Nope wait. Forget what I said. When I opened my model again to continue working on it. The constraints were no longer functioning the same way. It would seem that it is currently impossible to make a parametric OWSJ with Revit at this time.
