can someone help please? I'm running Revit Structure 2008 and when I place a joist between to beams/girders I notice the seat isn't sitting on the beam but rather the top of the seat is flush with the top of the beam. Is there a setting I can change so that when i draw in a K-series joist the seat automatically gets placed on top of the beam flange as it should? Is it as simple as chaning the start/end level offset by the thickness of the seat? Thanks Guys!

Assuming the parameters for joists are the same in Revit Structure as they are in Revit Architecture, the only thing I can think of is to change the "z-Direction Justification" to "Other" and set the "z-Direction Offset" to match the seat height. Not a perfect solution, but it's better than manually changing the bearing elevation at both ends of each joist.
