To change the color in shading mode go to: Settings->Material, chose the material, and in the shading section you can change the collor.

Note: You can unselect the "Update when AccuRender selection occurs" to avoid the collor change when you change the Texture.

if you just want to change the material on certain surfaces you can use the paint bucket tool

To change the color/material on your outer walls, click on the wall, bring up its Properties --> Edit --> Structure-Edit --> click where it says Material for the function you want to change (exterior or interior part of wall) --> then change the AccuRender to the material/color you want from the material library.  You can use this way to do your interior walls, etc., too, along with the paint bucket tool mentioned by Coreed.  Hint: Do some tutorials (or look in the getting started section) in your Revit program or tutorials on RevitCity ... they're a huge help  : -)
