I\'m trying to create a curved ramp with a curved wall with a constant slope by its side. I\'ve managed to create the following (see attached pic). I created a curved ramp and a curved wall alongside and i then made a ref plane that has just about the same inclination has the ramp. I attached the walls to the ref plane and that\'s what I got. Two probs though: 1- The walls don\'t snap the boundaries of the ramp when I draw them, so they\'re not really attached to the ramp and there are gaps left between the walls and the ramp at some points. 2- The walls have a little inclination on their top thanks to the ref plane cut. Is there any way to make them stay completely horizontal along their whole extension? Post edited on 2005-03-20 14:41:29

You can use the Ramp tool to create the surrounding walls and if needed put them on top of a real wall. best regards niki_funky

i battled with the same problem for a while..my solution was: edit the profile of a railing to the shape of the wall u want, save the profile, and load it into the drawing, edit the rail u put in the drawing, so that it has only one rail which is the profile you had created earlier...it would still need some tweaking, to get it to sit perfectly on the ramp surface, but hopefully that's no big deal. tis great to share my discovery, i've learnt a lot from this site..Cheers
