Hi,

I know this has probably been outlined before but I was wondering if anyone could give me some guidance as to joining 2 hip roofs which are at differing levels the (1st floor is 950mm above the ground level).  I have tried a series of different methods as outlined in the tutorials but just can't seem to get the ground floor roof to join in at the higher roof correctly.  I have attached the layout that the roof is supposed to take.  I can't get the roof plane at the circled area to designate a pitch.  All the other planes work and it is this plane only where the valley comes into the wall which seems to be creating problems.  Could someone give me an idea of how to create the 2 roof joins properly.

After great effort I finally got the roof to work.  The only thing wrong with it is one of the valley lines on the upper roof section has continued through to the hip line.  Does anyone know of a way to clean this up easily?  See the 3d image I have attached
