I have an hss that is inside a stud wall. It doesnt show up in the plan, how can i make it show up? Same thing if i wanted to indentify were headers are, how do i get them to show up? Do i have to make it think that the header is a beam?

Use the components in the structural folder of the library. There are column and bracing (beams) subfolders. They should show up in plan and any sections you cut as long as it has the right height/length. Make sure you have visibility set to on as well as any phasing or design option parameters. You will need to set the view to medium or fine if you want to see them in 3D or to see beams in plan/cols in section. I placed a steel system inside a curtain wall and it worked great.
