I have created individual families , which are pieces of steel for a set of shop drawings. I would like to print out those individula pieces to give to the fabricator. plan, elevation, with measurments. is there a way I can do this from the family or to have to pick it out of the project isolote and clean up the view where the family actual resides in the project? That is going to be a big pain for many pieces each with about 3 views, in a complex project - thats a lot of extra view. There has to be a better way.

You can print directly out of the family editor it just wont be on a sheet. The view will plot to the scale shown in the lower left corner, the same is true for projects. You could .pdf this and then combine it with a .pdf of your title block. HTH Nick

I havent tried this, but it may work...change your revit family extension (.rfa) to the project extension (.rvt) then you should be able to add seheets, etc. Like I said I havent tried this but in theory it may work.
