I am trying to create a ceiling in areflected ceiling view. if selecting a point inside the room area I get the following message: None of the created elements are visible in Reflected Ceiling Plan: K1Rcp View. You may want to check the active view, its Parameters, and Visibility settings, as well as any Plan Regions and their settings. if sketching it I get no warning but the ceiling just seems to not be there (can\'t select it). these are my view range settings: Primary Range top: next floor up, offset: 0\' 0\" cut plane: associated level 7\' 6\" Bottom: empty field, offset: 7\' 6\" greyed out View Depth: level: next floor up, offset: 0\' 0\" I have no plan regions in the view. Thanks for any help.

When you create a ceiling either by picking walls or sketch, be sure to check the properties of the ceiling before finishing it. Revit typically gives an offset from current level of 8 or 9 feet. Therefore if you are creating a ceiling in a ceiling plan view with the level already set to where you want your ceiling, you need to make sure it has a zero offset. To get to the ceiling you created earlier, cut a section or switch to a 3D view then edit the ceiling properties to have a zero offset from the level you sketched the ceiling in. You may also have to play with your view range settings. Remember that ceiling plan views are different from floor plan view in that in ceiling views you are looking up not down. This means that you may have to give a positive offset of the top range in the view to go a little bit into your ceiling system. Hope this helps. Tom
