Alpine Engineering has developed a truss design program that

promises to be the answer to many revit users prayers.  The

program is called Architectural View. It can import and export

dxf files. It can work out the entire truss geometry corresponding to roofs

which include trays, vaults, sky lights and such ....roofs of considerable

complexity once  its given wall bearing points

and roof and ceiling profiles.  A.View would seem to

be the perfect companion product  to

revit architecture.  The catch is that apparently Alpine has

not put much effort into marketing - very few seem

to be aware of their product - and they have recently

made the decision to discontinue its support.

And sooooo....it seems to me that if the

 revity community could let Alpine

know just how valuable their A. View product is....

...that  revit users  would happily pay the $295.00

to gain the power and control over truss layout

and design this amazing program provides,

a power and control over trusses  sadly neglected by

autodesk itself - then Alpine would re-establish

suppor of it and all would be

right in the world.

So - if you would like Alpine to continue to make

A. View available - please respond by saying so here,

and tell Alpine as well if you have the chance.

Excellent suggestion. Prefabricated truss components simplify

construction and are much 'greener' than stick building. Hope

Alpine will continue this program.
