I have loaded a few fireplace families from the Revit Web Library. However, when I go to place it in my Level 1 plan, it does not appear. I can only see it when I switch to 3D view. Does anyone know the fix for this?
Thank you in advance.

try and open the fireplace family, select and check the visibility of the actual fireplace 3d object (visibility button in the options bar).
you can also draw symbolic lines and they will appear in the plan view, this way you will have better control on the lineweight and linetype of individual lines.
I hope this helps.
