Hi.

I’ve been reading all the posts that seem to be dealing with what I’m trying to do with no avail. Maybe, since I'm new to Revit, I'm just not seeing what’s being said so here goes my question.

I'm using Revit Architecture 2008. I’m trying to make a staircase in the form of an "L" Sounds easy so far and I’d agree.

The kicker is that what I’m trying to do is sweep from one straight run to another so that the corner in the "L" is actually spiraled 90 degrees and connects to the next straight run. I’ve been trying several different methods: ex boundaries, ref planes, etc. All of them have mixed results but non do what I’m looking for.

The other thing that’s giving me a hard time is actually centering the curved portion of the stair case to either straight run OR to the end landing.

I’m hoping one of you guru's could enlighten me or at least point me to the right resource.

Thanks for your time.

Caz

Any more input is greatly appreciated!

Did you read the next link?

As Tom said "You can use the run tool in the stair sketch by using the curved button instead of the straight section. If you require something a little more complex you can always use the boundaries and risers to sketch exactly what you need. Just remember risers must span from one boundary to the other and there can only be two boundaries..."

Following his advice, you can create the stairs pictured.

I read that, looked like it really only applyed to the curved landing.

However let me  see if I can get thsi to work. Ive already tried something like this earlier but didnt seem to work for me at that time.
