I was wondering if anyone had any advise to getting this comment when attempting to open a Revit file:

"Element 217265 became corrupt at some time before this session.  To continue with this project, save a recovery file, this element will be deleted to fix the problem."

I have recovery files, but the most rescent few that had most of my work are showing the same message.  Even if I lose this work, that is OK, but I also want to make sure that I do not make the mistake that caused this problem in the future!

Thank you so much for you help!

Adrienne

Try importing your corrupted file into a new project file. Import as a revit file and then bind. Though may take some time to bind depending on the size of your file, it's worth the try.

Thank you so much for your response!  How do I bind?  I tried to import the file, but the same message came up.  Have a great day!

Ive had that exact same message, and I tried importing the corrupt file into a new project but I don't know how to bind.  Does anyone know how to do that?

Thanks for your help, I found out that because my CAD file was in the revit file it caused it to be corrupt, I could save the recovery file without the CAD file without it becoming corrupt again.  Is there any other way to get around this problem?
