RA 2008

 1. How can I make the glass transparent in shaded/hidden elevation and section views? What I want is to show everything beyond the store window and even though I used clear glass for material and made sure it is transparent (it is, but in 3d views only), it still shows as opaque on elevation and section sd and hl views.

2. Is the split face command working improperly? I used it on floors in creating floor patterns but  it has this habit of "sometimes my lines show up, sometimes it don't" thing that when I zoom out on PLAN view, some lines would disappear but when you view it in 3d, you could see they're there. Any suggestions in creating floor patterns, aside from creating a different floor family for each pattern?

 3. What CATEGORY is split face in the visibility graphics tab anyway? So that I could just half-tone them on plan views. Or is there another way to half-tone them? Lineweight pen tool doesn't seem to work on the lines bounding the split face.

Turn the glass off or over-ride it as transparent in the VG setting in your elevations.

Splitface is not in a seperate category.

I use thin floors for my finishes with model fill patters.  I thin hide in view wher I don't want them.  You can also independently overr-de the graphics for these and halftone them.

How do I override the glass as transparent? You see, if I uncheck the glass panels on the visibility graphics, the tinted color of my glass windows will not be seen (shade of blue). The solution that I've done so far was to just render the elevation scene (duplicate a 3d view, dynamically view and choose orient to elevation then render).
