I did turn shadow on...and it shows in shading with edges or shade. However, when I use raytracing the rendering never actually show any shadow at all. Hope some one can help. Thank you.

Turning Shadows on and off using the little button at the bottom of your screen is only for your working views. To get shadows in a rendering, you'll need to adjust your render scene settings. Under the rendering tab, go to settings, and turn shadows, sun, clouds, all sorts of things off and on.

Thank you for the reply. I did change all the settings in the rendering tab but I still find that everything is so flat...no shadow and reflection at all.

What kind of view are you rendering, an interior camera view, an exterior 3D view, an elevation?
