Hello all: I'm starting my second small project in Revit. 13 years ago I did a design for my sister in Boston. I actually brought a portable drafting table up and got the base drawing done there; exisiting conditions, basic layout of the addition etc. Since then I've been using an autocad based program. I'm going up for Easter this weekend and we're going to start working on a design for another addition. I'm bringing my original hand drawn drawings for reference. Alot of us can remember the tedium of hand drawing windows, siding, shutters, etc. and all the eraser bits and pieces everywhere We can also remember the learning curve of switching to CAD. Now there's a new learning curve switching to Revit. Isn't it funny how cyclical things are. Of course if i still had a drafting table i could knock out this addition in a few hours. Erase, erase, draw, smudge, erase, hand lettering.......Banish the thought........ John

Oh the memories! thanks for a little perspective on how far we have come.... it helps to think of things like that on days when all you really want to do is throw the computer out the window....
