I have an instructor as a customer that is trying to create one city, hence one main file. Each student will be able to check out their file, and then put back into the main file. What is the proper way to do this? He has searched and discovered several ways, wants to do it right the first time. Your help will be awesome.

You could set up a workshared project with each student having their building on an individual workset. Assuming that this is a decent sized city the central file for this project could end up becoming huge and killing then entire idea. I would opt for everyone having their own file and then linking them into a single topo file. The topo or master file would still be huge but you could avoid potential problems of one person messing everybody's file up. As with most things in Revit there is no right way and wrong way just different ways and preferences. Nick

Not one file - linked files. Each project is seperate. The Site is one common shared file. Does anyone know what REVIT's limitation is for linked files?
