I wish to Render a scene with my chosen light sources switched ON and an additional studio light to make the final image a bit brighter, however although the effect of the studio light looks great the other lights do not seem to be working in conjuction with it, even when they are swithed on in the options...does anyone know why this is?????

These forums have been a godsend the last week!!

There is a lot that could be wrong here. Where did you get your light family? If it has a lens, is the lens material transparent in the project? (Project settings override family settings.

Thanks for that, however the other lights are working on their own, but the scene is a bit dark, but when I turn the studio lights on the other lights dont work....is this supposed to happen?

AH HA! I have just realised that if you have too many studio lights on in the scene the regular lights stop working...an interesting fin but I have no idea why it happens! thanks for your help though!!

It doesn't sound like the lights stop working, you just over power them.  BTW, you can adjust the amount of light out of most lights.
