We have imported our civil engineers dwg file as an underlay for our site plan rather than redrawing it.  The problem is that all the linetypes with a letter in it (gas, sewage, fences, etc...) do not appear and come in as a single line.  I know that the linetype is not possible in revit, but isn't a CAD file just vector lines when imported?  The CAD file text shows up fine.  It is just these particular lines that are problematic.  Any ideas of how I can tweak either the CAD file prior to import?  Thanks.

I don't no if this work but try to export your Cad file with IFC format and import in revit with IFC import...

Thanks but no IFC export option is available on ADT 2006 or CAD 2008.

FI - this is happening to "unexploded" CAD imports.  i would think it to be a snapshot just like a PDF, but this is Revit afterall. The good, the bad, and the ugly..
